Meghan Markle‘s Netflix series may have generated a ton of buzz, but Kelly Clarkson apparently did not hear any of it.
During an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show that aired last week, Panic Carefully star Brian Tyree Henry praised the “wonderful” cast of the upcoming thriller, which features Elizabeth Olsen, Eddie Redmayne and Julia Roberts. However, he highlighted that he and Olsen “share the bond of watching television that’s crazy.”
“And by crazy we mean stuff that we just really like,” he clarified. “So we’re in love with With Love, Meghan right now.”
Clarkson immediately asked, “What’s that?”
While the series was widely panned by critics, With Love, Meghan landed in Netflix’s Top 10 shows within 24 hours of its release, so it’s surprising Clarkson wasn’t familiar with the series.
Henry explained to her that the lifestyle show is “the new Meghan Markle/ Meghan Duchess of Sussex show, where she’s also like Martha Stewart now.”
“And she’s created these things called flower sprinkles, which you apparently can put on anything that you want to eat,” he continued. “So Lizzie and I were like, we need to get in the flower sprinkles game, like Meghan is onto something we don’t know about.”
Though Clarkson was unaware of With Love, Meghan, she claimed that she “would love” it.
Nonetheless, Henry revealed that he received an extra special, With Love, Meghan-inspired “wrap gift” from Olsen in his trailer: “a literal jar of flower sprinkles.”
“Not only that, cause Meghan is bomb with calligraphy, okay. Meghan does her own calligraphy,” he added. “Lizzie had her husband do the calligraphy on the [gift], so it’s a whole thing.”
After Clarkson deemed the gesture “so sweet,” Henry teased that they have “started like a flower sprinkles gang,” and conceded that they are “also trying to get on the show.”
Clarkson pleaded, “Meghan, get ’em on the show.”
Henry quipped, “But it’s unconventional ’cause our movie is kind of about the apocalypse. So I’m like, ‘Lizzie, wouldn’t it be cool if me, you, and Julia went on her show to do doomsday prep?'”
The chance for Henry and his co-stars appearing on the show could be a possibility, as With Love, Meghan got renewed for Season 2 just days after its right-part debut season hit Netflix.
Meghan also caught word of Tyree’s Kelly Clarkson Show appearance, sharing the Instagram clip of the moment on her story and expressing her gratitude by writing, “Love this so much! Special delivery coming in hot for you two gems! @briantyreehenry & Lizzie Olsen. Thanks for the love of @aseverofficial and WLM on @netflix,” per the New York Post.
