Katy Perry Shares How She and Orlando Bloom Navigate Relationship Arguments
Katy Perry loved watching Taylor Swift make the whole place shimmer.
The "Teenage Dream" singer was effusive in her praise of Taylor's Eras Tour, which she got to see in Sydney while performing in Australia herself in February 2024.
"I had one day off before the show," Katy recalled in a TikTok posted Jan. 17 by Capital, "and I was like, 'Hey, girl, I'm gonna come to this show.' And she was so excited and I was so excited."
The 40-year-old was delighted by how many people gave her friendship bracelets at the concert, adding that she also got one from fellow singer Rita Ora.
"I loved it. It's just like a community—it's an adorable, sweet community," she praised. "And I got to see her and we got to catch up. I love her so much."
Katy had previously shared a look at her Eras Tour experience on Instagram, posting a selfie alongside Taylor and writing, "Got to see an old friend shine tonight."
The "Firework" singer—who shares daughter Daisy with fiancé Orlando Bloom—also posted more snaps from the evening, including one with Rita and even a video of Taylor performing "Bad Blood," a song long rumored to be about Taylor and Katy's past feud, which reportedly occurred after a disagreement over backup dancers.
The two officially mended their relationship in 2018 when Katy sent Taylor a literal olive branch at the start of her Reputation tour.
"She and I have really been on good terms for a while. She sent me a really nice note and an olive branch—like an actual olive branch—to my tour when it started," Taylor shared on UK's Capital Breakfast in 2019. "From that point on we've been on good terms."
The "Karma" singer—who is currently dating NFL star Travis Kelce—then recalled running into Katy at a party where they "hugged it out and talked about things," adding that they hung out a few more times. "It was just like something felt so much lighter about my life when things became really good between us."

"She and I have been fine for a while and really on good terms but we didn't know if we were ever gonna really tell people about it," Taylor confessed. "We wanted to make sure that was solid between us before we ever made the public aware."
And the public certainly became aware of it when Katy appeared in the music video for Taylor's 2019 song "You Need to Calm Down."
