Orlando Bloom Shares Photo With Ex Katy Perry After Breakup News
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are saying, “Bon appétit.”
The “Roar” singer and the former Prime Minister of Canada ate dinner together at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal on July 28, E! News has learned.
Per footage obtained by TMZ, the pair dined together with security sitting nearby at the bar and the restaurant’s chef at one point came out to greet them. In one photo shared by the outlet, Katy leaned across the table to better hear the politician, who announced his breakup from wife Sophie Grégoire in August 2023.
The outing comes amid Katy’s Lifetimes tour stops in Canada, which sees her perform in five cities, and just over a month since she and fiancé Orlando Bloom—with whom she shares 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom—ended their engagement.
While neither party has directly addressed their breakup, reps for the former couple shared insight into where Orlando and Katy stand.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship," their teams told E! News in a July 3 statement, "representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting."
The reps added, "They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."

And indeed, just three days on July 6 later the former couple were seen together soaking up the sun in Italy alongside newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos. The group of four relaxed on a yacht along the Amalfi coast before enjoying ice cream in a nearby town.
Further proving he’s taking their new chapter in stride, Orlando—who is also dad to son Flynn, 14, with ex Miranda Kerr—has posted multiple messages on new beginnings.
The Lord of the Rings alum quoted Buddha on his Instagram Story in June, writing, “Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most."

In a subsequent post, Orlando quoted another Buddhist leader, Daisaku Ikeda. “The important thing is to take that first step,” he wrote. “Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next day."

As she tweeted at the time, "Instead of giving energy & eyeballs to dumb conspiracy, check out how cool this is," along with a link to an article about the actor's charity work. Perry's message received a stamp of approval from Gomez, who retweeted the post.
