Dawson's Creek Star Joshua Jackson Details His, Ex Katie Holmes “Very Close” Bond
Katie Holmes is feeling her new curls.
The Dawson’s Creek alum stepped out for a party celebrating the second season of the Peacock mystery-comedy Poker Face—in which she’s set to appear as a guest star—and debuted a dramatic new hairstyle to mark the occasion.
In a post shared on Instagram May 6, Katie styled her flowing brown hair in loose waves with subtle highlights. She completed the look with a blue and beige floral-print pantsuit as well as a brown suede handbag and matching heels.
In the caption of the post, the 46-year-old gave a shoutout to series star Natasha Lyonne, writing, “Thank you @nlyonne for having me for season 2!”
Katie’s role in the Emmy-nominated series is still being kept under wraps, but the actress—who shares daughter Suri Cruise, 19, with ex-husband Tom Cruise—is one of several huge stars set to appear in season two including Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, John Mulaney and Cynthia Erivo.
And while the gig marks Katie’s return to the small screen after roles in The Kennedys, How I Met Your Mother and Ray Donovan, don’t expect her to reprise the part of Joey Potter in a Dawson’s Creek revival anytime soon.

“We've definitely talked about it over the years,” she told ScreenRant in July 2022, “but I feel like that show captured that time period and that time in all of our lives.”
Because despite being “so grateful for” her time on the teen drama, Katie pointed out that a modern reboot would require a significant time jump for the characters.
“Do we want to see them not at that age? I don't know,” she continued. “I don't think [so]. We all decided we don't actually.”
