White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt recently came to US President Donald Trump’s defence after the politician was reportedly mentioned in some newly released emails from Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.
On November 13, 2025, Karoline Leavitt took to her official X, formerly Twitter account and wrote:
“If not for the Jeffrey Epstein story, CNN would be forced to talk about how Chuck Schumer and the Democrats got shellacked by President Trump and Republicans in the government shutdown fight. It's clear this is another Democrat + Mainstream Media hoax, fueled by fake outrage, to distract from the President's wins.”Seemingly attacking CNN for reporting on the mails in which the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein mentioned the US President by name, she added in the Tweet:
“Republicans, don't be fooled. President Trump will remain focused on Making America Affordable Again.”In an article published on November 13, 2025, CNN cited newly released emails from Democrats on the House Oversight Committee that revealed Epstein had mentioned the US President multiple times in private correspondence that reportedly began almost 15 years ago with his associate Ghislaine Maxwell and author Michael Wolff.
In the conversation, Epstein allegedly asserted that the 79-year-old politician spent significant time with a woman who was described as a victim of the former’s sex trafficking. Meanwhile, the emails were obtained by the committee after it subpoenaed the late American financier’s estate as part of its own probe into the federal investigation.
What did Donald Trump say about the new Epstein emails?

His move came after US lawmakers released more than 20,000 pages of documents on Wednesday. In a Truth Social post, the 79-year-old US President said:
“I will be asking A.G. Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, Chase, and many other people and institutions, to determine what was going on with them, and him.”Meanwhile, Karoline Leavitt also claimed the latest Jeffrey Epstein emails “prove absolutely nothing” during her briefing in DC on Wednesday. She said:
“These emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong and what President Trump has always said is that he was from Palm Beach, and so was Jeffrey Epstein. Jeffrey Epstein was a member at Mar-a-Lago until President Trump kicked him out because Jeffrey Epstein was a paedophile and he was a creep.”Notably, in one email dated April 2, 2011, Epstein wrote to Maxwell:
“I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump... spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. police chief. etc. im 75 % there.”For the unversed, Ghislaine Maxwell was a longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein. She was convicted of sex trafficking after the New York-based financier, awaiting trial for sex trafficking, killed himself in jail in 2019. She is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence.
