Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has been epically trolled as she cruised through Chinatown in a convertible during Lunar New Year celebrations.
The LA Mayor was perched atop the vehicle Saturday, smiling and waving while wishing spectators a happy New Year.
“Today is the day we all contribute and show our support for Chinatown,” Bass says in one video. But the tone quickly turned sour.
A man filming the mayor — who appeared to identify himself as a journalist — pressed her about city budget cuts and crumbling roads, accusing her of “defunding our city.”
“Make sure you vote against Karen Bass,” the man shouted. “We want Karen Bass gone. The year you leave office, Karen.”
He then urged others nearby to join in and “boo” the mayor as her motorcade rolled forward.
In another clip, Bass’s convertible is filmed moving down a mostly empty stretch of road flanked by aides and security, while critics yelled that she was ignoring questions from journalists.
It was not immediately clear whether the man filming was a reporter. At one point, he turned his camera to show sparse crowds lining the street as Bass spoke.
Bass did not directly acknowledge the heckling in the videos. The mayor’s office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
