Kansas Jayhawks Basketball transfer portal tracker live updates, news on commits, departures from the program

The Kansas Jayhawks are coming off a heartbreaking loss to the St. John's Red Storm and look ahead to Bill Self coming back for his 23rd season. With the Big 12 elite looking to keep up Arizona and Iowa State, this will be a must-win recruiting period in the transfer portal. Now they'll reassess the roster for the 2026-27 season and try to make a few moves.

Kansas finished the season 24-11 and will likely need to replace Darryn Peterson, who's projected as a top pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Flory Bidunga is expected to be gone as well. Two key pieces to Kansas' overall success.

April 19: Oklahoma State transfer Vyctorius Miller is set to visit Kansas, according to 247Sports. 

April 19: Toledo transfer Leroy Blyden reportedly took a visit to Kansas, according to multiple reports.  

April 19: VCU transfer Terrence Hill Jr. commits to Tennessee after a Kansas visit, according to Field of 68's Jeff Goodman. 

April 19: VCU guard Terrence Hill Jr. took a Kansas visit on Tuesday, but did not commit to the Jayhawks. He also visited Tennessee later in the week, and a school is now starting to pick up momentum to land Hill, according to On3's Pete Nakos. 

April 18: Charlotte transfer Anton Bonke linked to Kansas, according to SI. 

April 18: Terrence Hill Jr. took a visit to Tennessee after visiting Kansas earlier in the week, according to On3's Joe Tipton.

"Currently, I would give the ‘Vols the edge. Oklahoma was another option for him, but it sounds like he won’t take that trip."

April 17: Sacramento State transfer Mikey Williams is in the transfer portal. The former four-star was linked to Kansas and took a visit to Lawrence back in 2022. 

April 17: Kentucky seems to be out of the mix for Utah transfer Terrence Brown, leaving Kansas and UNC as the final two, according to UK insider Jack Pilgram.

April 17: Paul Mbiya may return to Kansas after entering the transfer portal, according to multiple reports. 

April 17: Kansas is listed as a school to watch for Cincinnati center transfer Moustapha Thiam, according to On3.

April 14: Hofstra’s Cruz Davis has been contacted by Kansas since entering the transfer portal, according to Field of 68's Jeff Goodman. 

April 14: Iowa State transfer Milan Momcilovic linked to Kansas by CBS Sports' Brad Crawford. "Bill Self has long valued forwards who can stretch defenses and operate within a structured offense and Momcilovic's high basketball IQ would make him an instant contributor in Lawrence given what's left in the Jayhawks' rotation. Kansas also offers the exposure and a virtual guaranteed NCAA Tournament appearance, too."

April 11: The nation's top 2026 recruit Tyran Stokes says Kansas is in his top three schools, according to Krysten Peek. If he commits to Bill Self and the Jayhawks, this is change the portal approach. 

April 11: South Florida transfer Wes Enis reportedly had a Zoom call with Kansas coaches, according to reports.

April 11: VCU transfer Terrence Hill, Jr. held a Zoom call with Kansas coaches on Friday and plans a visit "soon", according to On3. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard from Portland, Oregon averaged 15 points and 2.7 rebounds last season. 

April 11: Utah transfer guard Terrence Brown is expected to visit Kansas, according to On3. Brown is the 40th-ranked player in the NCAA transfer portal.

April 11: UNC Asheville transfer Kameron Taylor held a Zoom meeting with Kansas coaches this week. He later scheduled a visit to campus. However, that visit has been cancelled, according to On3. The 6-foot-7 wing averaged 18.9 points this season.
