Chicago Sky center Kamilla Cardoso crushed her ex-teammate and University of South Carolina forward Adhel Tac in golf on Thursday. Cardoso shared photographs on Instagram that show her playing golf at a driving range with the Gamecocks sophomore. She also uploaded a picture of the final score, showing that she won by a sizeable margin.

“W in the chat!!!” Cardoso wrote.

Drafted with the third pick of the 2024 WNBA draft, Cardoso has just entered her second season in the league. Through the first six games, she is recording 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Cardoso shared the court with Adhel Tac at the University of South Carolina last year.

Together, they took the Gamecocks to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament before being knocked out by the No.1-seeded Texas Longhorns. It was a quiet season for Tac, who made 23 appearances, averaging 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. She mostly saw the court towards the end of the games.

However, Tac’s sophomore season could be different, considering many seniors left the Gamecocks this year.

Meanwhile, Cardoso will be under the microscope on Saturday as Angel Reese and Co. prepare for a highly anticipated clash against Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever. It is worth noting that Clark will sit this game out as she continues to recover from a left quadricep strain.

Sky coach Tyler Marsh provides a comforting update on Kamilla Cardoso ahead of a clash against the Indiana Fever

Kamilla Cardoso’s status for one of the Sky’s most important games of the year has been in jeopardy for most of this week. The Sky center is dealing with a sore shoulder that has restricted her to non-contact work in practice. However, Tyler Marsh expects her to be available against the Fever.

“I don’t perceive her to be in any jeopardy for Saturday,” coach Tyler Marsh said after practice Thursday. “Just trying to take precaution with it.”

Marsh also mentioned that Cardoso’s sore shoulder is more of a “lingering” issue rather than an injury. If all goes according to plan, she should be able to suit up for Saturday’s game against the Indiana Fever. However, she will likely be on a minutes restriction, as the Sky aims to avoid unnecessary risks.
