Chris Brown Arrested After Alleged Bottle Attack at U.K. Nightclub
Chris Brown must be feeling like one less lonely boy.
After all, the "Forever" singer was greeted with a warm message from Justin Bieber one week after he was arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent in connection to a London nightclub attack.
"Welcome home," Bieber commented on Brown's May 22 Instagram post, which showed the 36-year-old exiting a private jet with a caption reading: "Cook, remain humble."
But Bieber, 31, wasn't the only celeb to show their support after Brown was released on $6.7 million bail following a May 21 hearing, according to NBC News.
"They freed my man," rapper Sexxy Red wrote in the comments section, while musician Austin Mahone shared an emoji of a fax machine, which is often used in place of the word "facts."
Brown was arrested at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on May 15 for allegedly throwing a tequila bottle at music producer Abe Diaw during an altercation at a nightclub on Feb. 19, 2023. Diaw alleged that Brown struck him with the bottle during the incident, as well as punched and kicked him.
“He hit me over the head two or three times,” Diaw alleged in a May 15 interview with The Sun. “My knee collapsed as well.”
The charge of grievous bodily harm with intent carries a maximum sentence of life in prison, per the Crown Prosecution Service.
