Justin Bieber Debuts Back Tattoo During Grammys 2026 Performance

Grammy Award’s 2006 Fashion Rewind: Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson & More

Justin Bieber is debuting some new swag.

The "Daisies" singer took the stage during the 2026 Grammys on Feb. 1. And during his performance at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Area, he unveiled an eye-popping new back tattoo. (To see every star who showed out for the 2026 Grammys, click here.)

Indeed, Justin stepped out to sing his hit "YUKON" off his 2025 album SWAG, which earned four nominations at this year's ceremony, and for the showcase, he opted to only wear a pair of light blue basketball shorts and socks. As a result of his shirtless look, the new ink on his upper back—depicting the head of a person with long hair inside of a frame—was on full display.

Following his performance, many fans speculated that the tattoo was an illustration of Justin's wife Hailey Bieber, who he tied the knot with in 2018.

"JUSTIN BIEBER HAS GOT HAILEYS FACE TATTOOED OMG," one user wrote on X Feb. 1, while another quipped, "The bare minimum I expect from a man."

However, not everyone was convinced the ink was an ode to Hailey, who shares son Jack Blues Bieber, 16 months, with Justin. Others suspected that the design was a tribute to the "Baby" singer's faith.

As one user put it on X, "I thought it was Jesus."

And while Justin may not have put Hailey on his back, he did have the Rhode Skincare founder by his side for the big night in music hosted by Trevor Noah. In fact, the couple opted to rock coordinating looks on the red carpet for the event.

And Hailey had a blast celebrating her husband inside the ceremony as well, even getting a good laugh out of Trevor's light-hearted joke about Justin in his opening monologue.

"Justin Bieber is back in the house—look at this!" the comedian said during his speech. "This man has done so many amazing things. His album Swag nominated, four Grammy nominations. And I think, better than any Grammy, he's come back as a new dad. Congratulations to both of you!"

"My personal favorite thing Justin Bieber has done over the past year is," Trevor continued, "he told Apple to move the dictation button on the keyboard. Hero, Justin. Now I just need you to tell them to make a new feature where, when you search on your phone, it finds things. Please, Justin, we need you."
