Savannah Chrisley Details Todd and Julie Chrisley’s First Days After Prison Release

Julie Chrisley is back to being blonde.

Following her two-year stint in prison, during which she allowed her gray roots grow into her brunette hair, the Chrisley Knows Best star reverted her tresses to their signature golden honey color.

As seen in a photo shared by a fan on TikTok June 7, Julie rocked a shoulder-length blonde 'do while shopping at Target. For the casual outing, the matriarch donned a navy chiffon blouse with light blue jeans and brown sandals.

Julie was released from prison on May 28 after President Donald Trump pardoned her and husband Todd Chrisley more than two years after they were found guilty on charges of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States. At the time, Todd was sentenced to 12 years behind bars and Julie ordered to seven.

Todd and Julie's 27-year-old daughter Savannah Chrisley heavily pushed for their release amid their incarceration. She worked with Alice Marie Johnson, a criminal justice reform advocate who was granted clemency by Trump in 2018 after Kim Kardashian publicly called for her release, to present her parents' case to the POTUS.

So, what did Julie and Todd do on the first night of freedom? A family dinner.

"I made steaks, pastas, salads, potatoes—we had a smorgasbord," Savannah shared on the June 3 episode of her Unlocked podcast. "My parents enjoyed it and loved it."

The following morning, the Growing Up Chrisley star—who assumed guardianship of brother Grayson Chrisley, 19, and niece Chloe Chrisley, 12, amid her parents' imprisonment—said she went through of all of the family's milestones with her mom.

"We laid on my bed and just went through my Instagram, and I just caught her up on all the posts and videos and everything that’s gone on since she left," Savannah explained. "It was really cool to see her reactions and catch her up on life."

As for Julie's hair transformation? Well, that could have something to do with her and Todd's 28-year-old son Chase Chrisley.

"Her hair is darker now," he told Entertainment Tonight in May shortly after Julie's release. "I'm like, ‘Mama, we gotta go back platinum blonde.'"

Todd Chrisley & Julie Chrisley

Todd Chrisley is the patriarch of the Chrisley family.

He was born in Georgia in April 1969 and raised in South Carolina. He and first wife Teresa Terry welcomed daughter Lindsie Chrisley in 1989 and son Kyle Chrisley in 1991 before splitting a few years later. After their breakup, Todd wed Julie Chrisley (born in South Carolina in January 1973) in 1996.

Together, they added to their family with the births of kids Chase Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley and Grayson Chrisley and the adoption of Kyle's daughter Chloe Chrisley.

As Todd explained in the premiere episode of Chrisley Knows Best—a show that followed the blended family's ups and downs as well as their rich lifestyle in Atlanta and later Nashville—he made "95 percent" of their money through his real estate business before entering the reality TV world. As for Julie, she was working at a bank when she started dating Todd.

Chrisley Knows Best ran from 2014 to 2023 and led to spin-offs like Growing Up Chrisley and What's Cooking With Julie? as well as other media ventures, including the family members' podcasts.

In 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of fraud and tax crimes, and they were originally sentenced to 12 and seven years in prison, respectively (with him being held in Florida and her being behind bars in Kentucky). The couple had pleaded not guilty.

In May 2025, President Donald Trump pardoned Todd and Julie and they were released from prison.

Lindsie Chrisley

Born in September 1989, Lindsie is Todd's eldest daughter from his marriage to Teresa.

She attended Georgia State University, where she met now-ex husband Will Campbell. They wed in 2012, and she graduated and gave birth to their son Jackson that December. Two years later, Chrisley Knows Best premiered.

Lindsie appeared on the series for five seasons, where viewers saw how Todd and Will didn't get along. She and Will filed for divorce in 2016, and she left the show in 2017.

In the following years, there was public fallout between her and her family. It wasn't until 2022 that Lindsie, Todd, Julie and Savannah reunited publicly on crossover episodes of their podcasts.

"God knows I wasn't prepared for this estrangement," he said on Chrisley Confessions. "But I will tell you now looking back, we needed this estrangement."

However, their reunion was short-lived. In a March 2025 episode of her podcast The Southern Tea, Lindsie said she hasn't seen her dad "in quite some time." The following month, she confirmed she's also estranged from her siblings.

"We can live in the same space doing the same things and not necessarily agree or align and it’s no hate, it’s no ill will," Lindsie said on Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s podcast, Cate & Ty Break It Down in April 2025. "We just don’t serve each other in each other’s lives."

But after Julie and Todd were pardoned in May 2025, Lindsie wrote on Instagram Stories, "With God all things are possible."

Kyle Chrisley

Kyle, born in August 1991, is Todd’s eldest son from his former marriage to Teresa. In November 2012, he became father to daughter Chloe, whose mother is his ex Angela Johnson. But in 2016, Todd and Julie adopted Chloe. While Kyle appeared on only the first season of Chrisley Knows Best (aside from a brief cameo in 2021), his past arrests and rocky relationship with his family (which involved them being estranged and reuniting at various points in time) continued to make headlines. He’s also spoken candidly about his mental health journey and battle with addiction, sharing in a 2019 Facebook post that he's sober.

In 2021, Kyle wed Ashley Nelson and became a father to her kids Haiden and Mackenzie.

As for where Kyle stands with Todd and Julie, he expressed his hope to reconnect with them after their return from prison.

"I know they can't wait to get home and just be with family," he told E! News in May 2025, "and I'm going to remain hopeful that another reconciliation is possible."

Chase Chrisley

Chase is the first child Todd welcomed with wife Julie, arriving in June 1996.

In addition to appearing on Chrisley Knows Best with his parents and siblings, he co-starred on Growing Up Chrisley with his sister Savannah from 2019 to 2022.

Chase was previously engaged to Emmy Medders. But after breaking up and getting back together, they officially parted ways in 2023. Later that year, he began dating Jodi Laine Fournerat. Fans can often find photos of the pair on his Instagram along with snaps of him and grandma Nanny Faye Chrisley.

After Chase's parents entered prison, he spoke about how he and his siblings came together.

"We've definitely gotten a lot closer," he told Extra in 2023. "When you get hit with something like this, I feel like a lot of people either separate and go their own ways or they cling together, which is how we were raised. We've clung together and we're still fighting."

Chase had his own run-in with the law in January 2025, when he was arrested in Atlanta on a simple battery charge for allegedly becoming "really drunk" and slapping a bar manager after being asked to leave, according to police records obtained by E! News. His lawyers told People that "this incident has been entirely blown out of proportion."

"He did not assault anyone," they added. "Chase was trying to close out his tab and leave. We will be independently investigating the situation."

Chase is also an entrepreneur, launching a candle brand and roofing company.

Savannah Chrisley

Todd and Julie welcomed daughter Savannah in August 1997.

Early in her career, she competed in the pageant world—winning Miss Tennessee Teen USA in 2016 and vying for the Miss Teen USA crown later that year. However, her time in the limelight didn't end there as she went on to appear on several reality and competition shows, including Chrisley Knows Best, Growing Up Chrisley, The Masked Singer and Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. Savannah is also a real estate agent in Tennessee, the founder of Good Girl RX and host of the podcast Unlocked.

In her personal life, Savannah got engaged to hockey player Nic Kerdiles in 2019. However, they broke up the following year, and he died after a motorcycle crash in 2023. She later dated Robert Shiver; however, she confirmed their split in April 2025 after about two years together.

Savannah obtained custody of her brother Grayson and sister Chloe while Julie and Todd were in prison and advocated for her parents' release.

"72600019 and 72601019: These may be just numbers to you, but to me, they're my whole heart," she said at the 2024 Republican National Convention. "These numbers are my parents' identification numbers in our federal prison system."

After Trump pardoned Julie and Todd and they were released from prison, Savannah posted footage from their return home, including one that read "Reunited and it feels so good."

Grayson Chrisley

Grayson is Todd and Julie's youngest son.

Born in May 2006, Grayson entered the spotlight when Chrisley Knows Best premiered eight years later. He's now a student at the University of Alabama—and yes, he gets recognized on campus.

"It's been insane," he said on a February 2025 episode of Savannah's podcast Unlocked. "It's more than it's ever happened here."

After Julie and Todd went to prison, Savannah gained custody of Grayson and Chloe.

"I’m not their mom. I’m not their dad. I’m their sister and I get to love and guide them through life," the podcaster wrote on Instagram in July 2023. "Being a bonus parent is TOUGH…no one could ever add up to their parents. But these kiddos have shown me so much love, patience, grace, understanding, and appreciation! Helping to raise these two kiddos is the hardest but most rewarding job I will ever have."

And Savannah's bond with Grayson grew even stronger.

"Many people look at our situation and think, 'She saved him,'" she wrote on Instagram for his 18th birthday in May 2024, "but little do they know… YOU saved ME."

Chloe Chrisley

Todd and Julie started out as Chloe's grandparents after his son Kyle fathered the child with ex Angela Johnson in November 2012. However, they adopted her four years later.

“My heart!” Julie wrote on Instagram in February 2018. “This child brings so much happiness to our family. What did we do without you?”

Fans watched Todd and Julie raise Chloe—or CoCo as her family calls her—on Chrisley Knows Best. But after the couple entered prison, Savannah took over as her guardian.

“Watching her grow has been the biggest blessing of my life… she has QUITE the personality!” Savannah wrote on Instagram for Chloe’s 11th birthday in November 2023. "I wish I had her humor. I wish I had her carefree spirit. I wish I had her heart. She is everything that I hope to be one day! There is not a day goes by to where she doesn’t reach me something new. Because of her… we are all better people! I love you sweet girl! KEEP SHINING! NEVER GIVE UP! And ALWAYS KNOW… I AM HERE!”

After it was announced that Trump was pardoning Todd and Julie, Savannah shared Chloe’s reaction

"Chloe I think is still in shock, and she doesn't want to get her hopes up because she feels like something bad's going to happen," she said on a May 2025 episode of News Nation. "But I'm excited to be going to get my dad and bringing him home to her."

"Nanny" Faye Chrisley

Faye Chrisley—a.k.a. "Nanny"—is Todd's mom.

"I am blessed beyond measure that God chose you to be my mother," he wrote on Instagram for Mother's Day in 2021. "I love you more than you will ever know and you fill my heart with love, hope, faith and confidence."

Born in September 1944, Nanny grew up in South Carolina. She married army veteran Gene Chrisley, and they welcomed sons Todd, Randy Chrisley and Derrick Chrisley, the latter of whom died when he was a baby. Gene also passed away in 2012.

While on Chrisley Knows Best, Nanny captured fans' hearts with her humor, fun times with sister Frances (who died in 2022), dating adventures and advice. And whether she was hitting the casino, raising a glass of wine or spending time with family, she proved to viewers she knows how to have a good time.

However, Nanny has gone through hard times too. In addition to Todd and Julie's convictions, Nanny was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2021. But two years later, she shared she had overcome her health battle.

"I’m in remission, thank God," Nanny said on a 2023 episode of Lindsie's podcast The Southern Tea, per People. "I’ve been out moving around, doing the best I can."

Doing the best she can has been Nanny's approach to life in general.

"The world don’t always give you a good deck of cards to play with, so you play with them the best you can," she said on Savannah's podcast Unlocked. "You get up, brush yourself off and keep going."
