"A blessing in disguise": Mike Brown praises Josh Hart following the guard's reinsertion into the starting lineup

The season did not start well for Josh Hart as he returned from an injury and was used in a reserve role by first-year coach Mike Brown. Hart was benched in the fourth quarter in some games, which led to frustrations rising inside the guard's mind.

However, a meeting with Brown in late November changed it all. According to ESPN, Brown and Hart had a conversation about the guard's reinsertion into the starting lineup. The coach went through with his plans, and the Knicks saw instant results.

They are on a six-game winning streak and have re-established themselves as a powerful force in the East. Before the game against the Spurs, Brown priased Hart and expressed gratitude for making the right call with Hart.

"It was a blessing in disguise," he said. "I was open and honest. He hadn't played a lot in the preseason because he got hurt early on, so I didn't have a great feel for how to use him, when to use him, what his game was completely like.""Josh can do everything. There's some things that he does that are elite."

The Knicks (18-7) have climbed their way up the standings after making their recent adjustments. They are second-place team in the East standings.
