The Jonathan Kuminga saga with the Golden State Warriors is finally over.
After Kuminga spent parts of his first five seasons with the Warriors, Golden State is sending the forward to the Atlanta Hawks in a deal for Kristaps Porzingis, according to Shams Charania. Kuminga had been noticeably frustrated by his role with Golden State, and he finally gets a fresh start.
The Hawks, on the other hand, swap out a talented player in Porzingis who has struggled to stay healthy. Atlanta has been active this trade season, and this is only the latest in their roster remake.
Here's a breakdown of the Kuminga trade.

Jonathan Kuminga contract details
Kuminga is currently playing on the first year of a two-year, $46 million deal, but the second year of that contract is a club option for $24 million. If Kuminga fits into the team, the Hawks could choose to pick up the option, or they could decline it and allow Kuminga to hit free agency.
