It has been an active recruiting week for new Florida Gators head coach Jon Sumrall, having seen his recruiting class grow from the 30th-ranked class in the country to now the 9th in just a few days.
Things started to heat up on Wednesday, April 8th, when Sumrall landed a commitment from 5-Star+ IOL, Maxwell Hiller. Hiller is the number four player in the 2027 class and the number one inside lineman in the nation. He is also the highest-ranked commit that Sumrall has landed in his career.
It didn’t stop there as 4-Star QB, Davin Davidson, the 12th-ranked QB in the class, also announced his commitment to the Gators just one day later. Now, two days later, the 13th-ranked cornerback in the 2027 class, Aamaury Fountain, has flipped his commitment from South Carolina to Florida.
