Kate Gosselin Shares Rare Photos With Sextuplets on Their 21st Birthday
Hannah Gosselin’s whole life has been caught on camera.
The daughter of Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin, who was just 15 months old when she made her television debut on TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 alongside her seven siblings, detailed how growing up on reality TV impacted their family dynamic.
Because when it came to living life in the presence of a crew, Hannah remembers everyone working behind-the-scenes as just a part of the family.
“That was our normal,” the 21-year-old told Teen Vogue in an interview published May 14. “You’re always surrounded. The film crew was there 24/7.”
And that meant that, even while her parents were going through a very public divorce in 2009, ever disagreement was recorded and shared with the world.
“[Filming] made my siblings and I closer to each other,” Hannah explained, “even though it made my parents further from each other. It’s hard to go back and watch my parents argue.”
But ultimately, Hannah—who is a sextuplet alongside 21-year-old siblings Collin, Alexis, Aeden, Leah and Joel, as well as 24-year-old twins Mady and Cara—wouldn’t change her childhood for the world. After all, it documented some of her most cherished memories for posterity, brought in some income and made the industry more regulated for kids in the industry.
Meanwhile, Jon recently revealed that it has been quite some time since he last spoke to his ex-wife.
"We don't communicate," the 48-year-old told E! News in January. "I think the last time I heard her voice in person was, like, 2018."
The DJ went on to explain that, for their last interaction, the pair was in court during a custody battle over their son Collin after he accused Kate of verbally and emotionally abusing him as a child. (Jon was ultimately awarded custody, though Kate has denied all abuse allegations.)

And despite his rocky relationship with his ex, Jon—who announced his engagement to Stephanie Lebo last November after three years of dating—admitted that their limited interactions have been more peaceful than they’ve been in the past.
"It's been calm," he said at the time, "very calm, knock on wood, for two years now."
As for the matriarch of the family? Just a few days ago, Kate shared photos with four of the sextuplets—excluding Hannah and Collin—in celebration of their 21st birthday.
"And just like that, they turned 21!" the 50-year-old captioned her May 11 Instagram post. "Happy Birthday to my 6! #GosselinSextuplets."
