Jojo Siwa Admits to Learning “Hard Lessons” in Her Public Relationships: “You F**k Up” (Exclusive)
JoJo Siwa is working to change her karma.
The same day she confirmed her breakup with Dakayla Wilson, the Dance Moms alum got candid about how her past experiences have taught her to keep her personal life more private going forward.
"You f--k up and you put things in public that you shouldn't be," JoJo exclusively told E! News at the 11th Annual American Reality Television Awards Nov. 18. "Unfortunately, that's the only way that you learn sometimes. And I've had to learn some hard lessons, but they've paid off in the end."
But being selective about what she shares with others is easier said than done. After all, the 21-year-old admitted that she can be "extremely vulnerable" and a "really fragile human."
Luckily, there's another side to JoJo that she's also come to appreciate: her resilience.
"I recently had a new friend come into my life and one of the things that they always talk to me about is how resilient I am," she shared. "They kind of hold a mirror up to myself, and I'm really appreciative of that friendship because that's a really interesting thing to have someone put a mirror in front of you and doing it in a positive way."
JoJo added, "It's brought a new perspective on life."
And the "Karma" singer's new approach to life coincides with a new chapter. Three months after she took her romance public with Dakayla, JoJo revealed that she and the dancer broke up.

“We have gone our separate ways,” she told People, “but she is an amazing girl."
While their love story didn't stand the test of time, JoJo wishes nothing but the best for Dakayla, who she surprised with a $30,000 birthday trip to Hawaii in October, one month before announcing their split.
"I got my own fun holiday plans, and I know she's got her family that she's spent the holidays with," the "Guilty Pleasure" singer said. "I'm happy for her that she has [them]."
