The actressshared a realistic glimpse into her family’s Christmas morning, showing off their disheveled living room and the couple’s ecstatic toddlerMalcolm, 2, and baby Méi, 3 months.
“The house is a mess,” Olivia wrote in a Dec. 25 Instagram post. “Malcolm got safety glasses personally from the penguins of Madagascar and Méi is 100 days old today. All my Christmas wishes came true.”
Alongside the sweet and detailed caption, Olivia shared several photos including one of her, and one of John snuggling up with the couple’s daughter, as well as one with Malcolm intently focusing on a snow globe, plus a panoramic video of the aftermath left behind after opening presents—showing a living room with wrapping paper strewn about the floor.
The family’s sweet Christmas celebrations come just over a month after the comedian shared insight into home life after they welcomed their daughter back in September.
“My wife and I just welcomed a baby girl into our family,” John said in hisSaturday Night Livemonologue early last month. “We have a five-week-old daughter, and a 2-year-old son. My wife takes care of the five-week-old, and I take the 2-year-old out. And that's not fair.”
Because, John, 42, insisted he had the harder job.
“That's not an equal distribution of labor at all,” he smized. “You have a five-week-old, I'll take a 2-year-old.’ That's like saying, ‘I'll transport this convict across state lines. You hold a potato.’”
Of course, John has also made it clear how proud he is of his partnerof three years, especially as she selflessly cared for the family while undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

“Olivia saving lives by speaking her truth is not surprising to me,” John said while presenting her with the InStyle 2024 Imagemaker Award. “Olivia is constantly trying to keep me out of danger and keep me alive through a series of texts throughout our entire relationship.”
He went on to read several texts he’d received from Olivia throughout their relationship—with warnings about everything from trying on clothes at retail stores to going for walks in Chicago.
Later, the Newsroom star proved she can compete with her partner’s comedic chops, writing in an Instagram Story, “Don’t sleep on any of my warnings.”
