John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Son Sean Ono Lennon Gives Rare Details on His Childhood
John Lennon’s son Sean Ono Lennon was only waiting for this moment to arrive.
The youngest son of the Beatles singer and wife Yoko Ono announced that he and his partner Charlotte Kemp Muhl have welcomed a baby boy.
“Okay so…Charlotte and I would like to announce that [we] have indeed created a Human Bean!” Ono Lennon wrote in a Sept. 1 social media post, alongside a photo of the duo holding their new bundle of joy. “His name is, Aurelius! Thank you!”
In the accompanying photo, Ono Lennon is the spitting image of his dad, sporting long hair, classes and a newsboy cap as he holds his infant in his arms. Muhl stands close by, placing a hand on their son—who sports a black and white striped onesie.
Naturally, plenty of stars were flooding the comment section to send the 50-year-old and his partner well wishes.
As Paris Hilton wrote on Ono Lennon’s Instagram post, “Congratulations on your new baby!”
Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan added, “Congratulations to the beautiful couple!!!”
After sharing his happy news, Ono Lennon shared a photo of Muhl in a hospital bed, cradling their son, writing in the caption, “Baby Momma!”
While Ono Lennon and Muhl keep a relatively low profile compared to his parents Lennon—who was killed in 1980—and Ono, their son recently shared what he loved about how they raised him.
“I think it’s really interesting that John and Yoko famously recorded their lives all the time via video—I mean, via 16 millimeter film,” he told Variety in an interview published in April 2025. “The fact that they were doing that in the early ‘70s, before reality television and before social media and before memes…As far as I am concerned, it’s like they were the first reality TV celebrity couple.”

And considering his father—who was also dad to Julian Lennon, 63, with ex Cynthia Lennon—died when he was just 5 years old, Ono Lennon appreciated that he had so much recorded material to keep his memory alive.
"Especially because I grew up without my dad around," he added, "every recording of his voice and every video of him that people have seen, it’s a limited resource.”
