The Baltimore Ravens got the win they needed to keep their season alive, slaying the Chicago Bears 30-16, which keeps the postseason as a tantalizing carrot dangling in front of the team.
Tyler Huntley orchestrated Todd Monken's offense well, Derrick Henry rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns, while the defense again showed improvement, limiting the opposing offense to just 16 points.
After such a tough couple of weeks, the pressure valve was released, and now the Ravens can hopefully look towards next week with Lamar Jackson returning.
But head coach John Harbaugh can't understate how important this game was for his team.
“So much faith in the Lord and also in each other, the process, being a team, sticking together and handling all the arrows and slings that get tossed your way when you're struggling,” Harbaugh said. “By no means this mean things are over. By no means have we accomplished anything close to what we want to accomplish. But this is a really important game for our team. This is really a big game.”

Ravens' season alive...barely
Now at 2-5, the Ravens can look to build some sort of positive momentum, and with the offense appearing to be back on track, plus the defense over the past couple of weeks, showing big improvement, maybe there is a reason to be hopeful.
Oh, and Lamar's impending return is also a big reason to be optimistic.
With the Miami Dolphins up next, Harbaugh's team will try to go on a run that puts them firmly in the playoff picture. Yes, it is a long way away, but the Ravens, with the win over Chicago, have at least given themselves a chance.
And with a two-time MVP winner set to return, that's all you need. Along with faith, you need a lot of faith at 1-5 to believe you can turn things around.
Yes, it's one step, but it's a mighty important one.
