John Cena sent an emotional message today on social media after reaching a major career milestone last night on WWE RAW. The 48-year-old made his final appearance in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, last night on the red brand.
Dominik Mysterio interrupted The Cenation Leader's promo last night on WWE RAW, and it led to an impromptu tag team match. Cena connected with an Attitude Adjustment for the pinfall victory to capture the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career.
The Grand Slam Champion took to social media today to send an emotional message following his massive win on RAW in front of his hometown crowd.
"Thank you Boston. It meant so much to be able, for one last time, to be allowed an opportunity to do what I love, in a place I love, surrounded by those I love. Our performances are only meaningful if YOU the audience invest in us and decide they are. The smile on my face and awe in my eyes in this small clip is an honest show of grateful disbelief & appreciation for all you’ve ever invested in me. Last night meant more than I can ever express. There is currently a "Last Time is Now" tournament underway to determine Cena's final opponent next month at Saturday Night's Main Event. Sheamus and Rusev advanced in the tournament during last night's episode of RAW.

The Miz mocked John Cena for taking so long to win the Intercontinental Championship following last night's episode of WWE RAW.
The A-Lister took to social media after John Cena's title win and noted that he made the Intercontinental Championship prestigious. The Miz added that he was going to take the title from the legend to restore its legacy.
