WWE icon John Cena posted a social media update promoting his upcoming project outside of the Stamford-based promotion. The 48-year-old bid adieu to professional wrestling earlier this month.

The Never Seen 17 took to X (fka Twitter) to share that the HGTV show, Junk or Jackpot, on which he is an executive producer, premieres tonight. He noted that it all started with a debate with Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green and became a reality with the help of popular American interior designer Bobby Berk.

John Cena also shared a link to Bobby Berk's interview with Jim Halterman, in which the 44-year-old spoke about the 17-time World Champion's role in the show. He revealed that the former head of HGTV, the late Loren Ruch, reached out to him, stating that Cena had created a show and wanted him to host it. Berk added that since the WWE legend was a big fan of Queer Eye, another reality series he featured in, he agreed to do "Junk or Jackpot?"

"What started as a debate with @ImChelseaGreen and @themattcardona has now, with the help of the incredible @bobbyberk, become a reality. Junk or Jackpot premieres tonight at 9:30pm on HGTV!" Cena wrote.

John Cena praises his final WWE opponent

Former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther won the Last Time is Now Tournament to earn an opportunity to retire John Cena. The Ring General not only defeated the veteran but also became the first performer to make him tap out.

During his appearance on What Do You Want to Talk About? With Cody Rhodes, The Cenation Leader spoke about facing Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event. The wrestling legend stated that he felt honored to get to wrestle Gunther. Cena added that he had a lot of respect for the 38-year-old.

"Honestly, to be honored to be in there with somebody who takes the mat as sacred. I don’t care who likes or doesn’t like Gunther. Respect is a core value, motherf**ker hits hard and hits pure, and he is all about this 20×20 box. And whether he does it my way, a wise man once said, ‘Just because it’s the way John does it doesn’t mean it’s the way it needs to be done.' And I got the utmost respect for him," Cena said.

While John Cena steps away from the squared circle, it remains to be seen what's next for Gunther, who also retired former WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg earlier this year.
