Night 2 of WrestleMania 41 was very much the opposite of what WWE gave us on Saturday and was a better effort overall.
Where Night 1 was carried by its strong main event, Cody Rhodes and John Cena dragged down a strong rest of the card that included more surprises and a major Becky Lynch return in front of an announced crowd of 63,226 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Maybe by design, as Cena said he wants to ruin wrestling, his capturing of a record 17th world championship included rapper Travis Scott — and not The Rock — helping him win. The lack of twists and turns left it feeling not-quite main-event worthy, which is a shame for both Cena and Rhodes.
It was a big night for Iyo Sky and Dominik Mysterio. We even got “Stone Cold” Steve Austin crashing his buggy into the barricade.
