Joe Rogan floats bold back up plan for Spencer Pratt if he loses LA mayoral election

1 hour ago 2

Podcast host Joe Rogan thinks Spencer Pratt should run for office in Austin if he loses his bid for Los Angeles.

“Maybe we get Spencer Pratt, if he loses in LA, to run for mayor of Austin,” Rogan said on his podcast during an episode with comedian Tom Segura.

“We could use you,” Segura said.

Rogan and Segura both lived in Los Angeles before moving to Texas. Segura noted that he sold his house in Altadena before the fires burned it down, which he described as looking like “a bomb went off.”

“It was really crazy. Oh, glad we moved, too,” Rogan responded. Segura also said he thinks Pratt has a good chance because people in Los Angeles are “desperate.”

“I think if you put together a campaign that gets some excitement, people talking, you have a chance in L.A.,” he said. “The people there are — they’re desperate.

“They’re desperate, and also, they live for entertainment. So entertain them a little. He’s entertaining as s–t.”

Pratt is a former reality TV star best known for the unscripted show “The Hills.” The podcast also compared him to Donald Trump, who was also a reality TV star himself.

A recent Emerson College poll shows Pratt running a competitive campaign against incumbent Karen Bass.

The race has been heavily shaped by viral, fan-generated AI videos portraying Pratt as a superhero saving the city from political villains.

Bass is polling at 30%, while Spencer Pratt is in second place with 22% support. Nithya Raman trails at 19%, with 16% of voters still undecided.
