Joe Burrow gifted his teammates what for Christmas?!

1 hour ago 2

Over the past few days, Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow has been heavily involved in trade talks as the team has missed the postseason for the third straight season.

These rumors began when Burrow made a postgame comment after the team lost to the Buffalo Bills in Week 14, in which he suggested he might not be having fun playing football, prompting questions about whether he was speaking in general or hinting at a departure from the Bengals. Burrow then denied that he was unhappy with the team.

While the outcome remains unclear, Burrow did something this past week that prompted more questions about the gifts he gave his offensive linemen for Christmas.

ESPN's Ben Baby reported on Friday that the star allowed teammates to select fossils of their choice based on when they arrived and their seniority with the team.

Despite what most people may think about the gifts, his teammates actually enjoyed them and had to do some things to say so, complimenting Burrow.

"I think it speaks to his intelligence, interests, and his desire to do something unique," center Ted Karras said, and also admitted he "thought it was really special."

If you are familiar with Burrow, he has previously expressed interest in fossils, as it was briefly touched on in the Netflix sports documentary "Quarterback," which he starred in last season.

Time will tell whether Burrow will be with the Bengals next Christmas for part two of fossil gifting with the team, but it's clear the star cares about sharing his love for history, no matter which team he is on.
