Jimmy Kimmel Blasts Republican “Bootlickers” Who Are “Lined Up To Suckle Trump’s Celebrity Teat”: “You’re Embarrassing Yourself”

Jimmy Kimmel has spent the week on Live blasting Donald Trump‘s astounding cabinet appointments, which now include Matt Gaetz and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. But on Thursday’s broadcast, the late night host pointed out that there seems to be little the Republican party won’t do for their new president elect.

“The list of bootlickers is long and the MAGA minions, like this guy Troy Nehls of Texas, are lined up to suckle Trump’s celebrity teat,” he said.

He shared a clip of U.S. Representative Nehls telling MSNBC, “There’s no question [Trump] is the leader of our party. He’s got a mission statement. His mission, his goals and his objectives, whatever it is, we need to embrace it. All of it, every single word in his mission statement, we need to embrace it.”

He adamantly continued, “If Donald Trump says jump three feet high and scratch your heads, we all jump three feet high and scratch our heads. That’s it.”

Kimmel was not so sure about Nehls’ passionate message. “Troy, you’re embarrassing yourself,” he responded. “He’s not gonna sleep with you, okay?”

The late night host went on to theorize why Trump has appointed “a battalion of bozos” to lead the most important sectors of government during his presidency.

“Some believe he’s testing the Republican Congress to see how far he can push them, some say he’s doing this strategically to weaken certain areas of the government,” Kimmel told the audience.

“Or this is the theory I believe: He’s dumb,” he stated. “He’s a dumb man. He’s Donny-dumb-dumb.”

Kimmel, who has long been a vocal critic of the president elect, appeared similarly shocked to see Trump and President Biden having a “gracious” meeting at the White House this week.

“Last week, Joe Biden was an evil force who weaponized the justice system to put Trump in prison for the rest of his life,” Kimmel pointed out. “Today, they had fun.”

Despite their differences, both officials maintained they wanted to ensure they have a “smooth” transition.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
