[Credit: IG/@kaitlinnowak]Jimmy Butler and Kaitlin Nowak had their daughter in October 2019, right before his first season with the Miami Heat. Butler set the priority straight and missed the first three games of the season to be with his daughter and his ex-girlfriend. Interestingly, Kyle Lowry, Butler's teammate in Miami, and one of his best friends, is Kylie's godfather.
The former couple also has a son they welcomed three years later. On June 30, 2022, the couple welcomed their son Brayan. Even with his basketball responsibilities, Butler has prioritized his children. His children also appeared in Netflix's "Starting 5" series.
Jimmy Butler gets honest about his children's importance in his life
Jimmy Butler is one of a kind when it comes to being a true competitor. The Warriors star carried the Miami Heat to two NBA finals, despite being the underdogs. As heartless as Bulter is on the basketball court, there is a transformation when he enters his house.
In Netflix's "Starting 5," Butler revealed how his children took priority over everything and helped him leave the game outside the door.
"My kids, they really set everything in like proportion, the way that I look at things because when I come home, they don't care if I had a triple-double or if I fouled out in the first three minutes of the game, I'm just their dad," he said. "They could care less about anything else. Whenever I'm home, I try to the best of my ability to be their dad first."Last season, with Jimmy Butler, the Warriors looked like a team to contend for the championship. However, with Steph Curry going down with an injury, the Minnesota Timberwolves took them out in the second round. With a healthy roster, the Warriors will hope for a big run this season.
