After faking out the media with warm embraces in the Minnesota bullpen, Twins reliever Jhoan Duran is now actually on the move.
On Wednesday, the 27-year-old reliever was sent to the Phillies in a deal that ends a seven-year tenure with the Twins organization. Duran was one of the most coveted relief arms on the trade market, as his name was atop the list of a few controllable relievers that could be had.
As the deal indicates, however, a player of his stature and contract situation does not come at a bargain.
