The New York Jets made one of the cooler jersey announcement trifectas you'll see.
On Monday, they announced that three of their players are switching to single-digit uniform numbers, and there's nothing cooler than a single-digit jersey.
Defensive lineman Will McDonald goes from No. 99 to No. 9, which was vacated by the release of kicker Greg Zuerlein.
Xavier Gipson changes from No. 82 to No. 3.
Malachi Corley swaps No. 14 out for No. 6.

McDonald is coming off a huge second season with the Jets. He had 10.5 sacks as he turned into a full-fledged starting pass rusher.
Gipson's biggest value comes in the return game while he also moonlights as a wide receiver.
Corley was a third-round pick in 2024 and will be expected to take a step up after just three catches and two rushes last season. He's an explosive 5-foot-11 playmaker.

Jersey numbers alone won't make or break the Jets season.
But there's something slick about those single digits, and now they've got more of those, which has to count for something.
