Jets GM Darren Mougey ducks Aaron Rodgers question about QB’s scathing attack on team

The Jets are giving former quarterback Aaron Rodgers the silent treatment.

Rodgers blasted the organization and new head coach Aaron Glenn last week for how they handled his departure in February. Rodgers said on “The Pat McAfee Show” that the Jets did not show “ample respect” in a meeting that lasted about 15 minutes.

Rodgers was way more critical of Glenn than new general manager Darren Mougey, but Rodgers did mention that Mougey was part of the meeting.

On Monday at his pre-draft press conference, Mougey declined to fire back at Rodgers when asked if Rodgers’ account of the meeting was accurate.

“I understand the question,” Mougey said. “I addressed that at the combine. But today I just want to talk about the draft and Jets players.”

When asked if he has any regrets with how the Jets handled the release of Rodgers, Mougey again ducked the question.

“I understand the question, but I’m just going to talk about the draft and current Jets players,” Mougey said.
