The New York Jets have a lot to do in free agency, and Aaron Glenn's head coaching job might depend on it.
They've already been active in the trade market, and there are still plenty of rumors and signings to come to try and improve a team that has plenty of needs.
The Jets made a move Monday before free agency even opened to try and address one of those spots, acquiring safety Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Miami Dolphins.
That's just a start. The Jets have more than $73 million in available cap space, according to Over The Cap.

The looming need, of course, is at quarterback. Just last offseason, the Jets signed Justin Fields, and that didn't work out. He technically enters free agent week still under contract, but there's an expectation the Jets will look to do something different.
They won't need a new RB, because they gave Breece Hall the franchise tag. But they definitely need help at wide receiver for whoever the new quarterback will be.
That's to say nothing of needs along the line and on defense. There's a lot of work for the Jets to do.
We'll be keeping track of all the happenings right here.

TUESDAY
10:45 a.m.: Something to note as the free agency tampering window continues into a second day: Things will definitely be slower today. Guys that weren't signed immediately usually weren't signed immediately for a reason. Either they really are taking their time intentionally, or they don't have the interest they want. Plenty more deals will come, but they could be stretched out over the next handful of days.
10:15 a.m.: This is a list of some of the top remaining free agent QBs, something the Jets likely still need to look into.
8:35 a.m.: There are a lot of reviews going around of the Jets losing Alijah Vera-Tucker, and most are pointing out that he missed 41 games in four seasons. Jets' fans may not miss him, although a departure to division rival New England hurts a bit more.
7:50 a.m.: Kyler Murray's free agency rumors have been quiet, which could matter to the Jets. Read more at this link about Murray's latest.
6:45 a.m.: A couple key things to note as Tuesday gets underway. Free agency operates much the same way today as it did Monday. It's still the "legal tampering" period. Deals can't be made official until Wednesday. There are still a good chunk of free agents on the board, so more news should emerge throughout the day.
MONDAY
11:30 p.m.: As the week goes on, the Jets' QB situation will have to continue to take shape. But it's a solid first day for New York.
10:30 p.m.: A couple other signings to catch up with here. The Jets bring in fullback Andrew Beck, but they lose Quincy Williams to a signing with the Browns -- both reported by Jordan Schultz.
10 p.m.: One that slid under the radar earlier: The Jets also signed safety Dane Belton, per ESPN. He's another safety upgrade along with the trade for Minkah Fitzpatrick.
4:26 p.m.: After a quick flurry, it's been pretty quiet for the Jets. A decision on QB will be the big thing still to come.
4:07 p.m.: SNY is reporting that the Jaguars are shopping WR Brian Thomas Jr. in a trade, and the Jets may be interested.
2:20 p.m.: News that Mike Evans is leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to sign with the San Francisco 49ers is shocking. It also officially removes the Jets from possibly ending up with Evans.
2:17 p.m.: The Jets sign DT David Onyemata to a one-year deal, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
1:35 p.m.: Former Jets kicker Nick Folk is signing with the Atlanta Falcons, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The Jets are also losing offensive lineman John Simpson to the Ravens.
1:09 p.m.: The Jets are busy. DeMario Davis is returning to town from the Saints. It's a two-year, $22 million deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
1:01 p.m.: The Jets stick on the pass rush train with Kingsley Enagbare on a one-year deal for $10 million, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
1 p.m.: The Jets have signed pass rusher Joseph Ossai to a three-year, $36 million contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
12:30 p.m.: A slow first half hour, with the highlights being Alec Pierce getting $116 million to return to the Colts, and Kenneth Walker signing with the Chiefs. Lots still to be done.
12 noon: The NFL's legal tampering period opens. Reports from insiders will come soon about agreed-upon signings. Nothing can be officially signed until Wednesday.
11:45 a.m.: Interesting news from elsewhere in the AFC East: It sounds like Tua Tagovailoa may follow his release from the Dolphins by signing with the Falcons.
11:10 a.m.: Would Mike Evans consider the Jets? Reports indicate he may leave Tampa Bay. The Jets might be a hard sell, though, given they're not a clear contender immediately.
10:45 a.m.: The official negotiating window opens at 12 noon on Monday, so that's when to start expecting rumors to start humming.
9:30 a.m.: The Jets began the action even before free agency, acquiring Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for the Chargers' 2026 seventh-round pick.
