Jets' Aaron Glenn in defiant mood after Buffalo beatdown - 'Back to work!'

11 hours ago 3

The New York Jets seemed to revert back to the 2024 version in the 30-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium as the AFC East bullies taught Aaron Glenn's team a lesson.

The Jets could only muster 154 yards of total offense, didn't convert a third down all game, allowed four sacks, and the Bills had the ball for nearly 17 minutes more.

That isn't a way to win football games.

Plus, Fields was 3 of 11 for just 27 yards before being taken off the field and placed into concussion protocol. Garrett Wilson was the only receiver to surpass 10 receiving yards, while the defense gave up 403 yards of total offense, which included 224 rushing yards.

For Glenn, he's not about to let his faith be shaken by one result.

“Very disappointing, all three phases to be honest with you,” Glenn said. “First off, I got to take a look at myself, I want to take a look at every player. I want to take a look at every coach. There's no stone that won't go unturned without figuring out the issue. But I do know this. I've been here before with two teams in New Orleans and Detroit. The one thing that we're not going to do is we're not going to waver, not one bit.

"The brand that we say that we're going to play right, we're going to play that type of game, right? And our guys will get better. Only thing we have to do is get ready to go back to work.”

Jets hit with reality check vs. Bills

Yes, New York's performance wasn't good, but there won't likely be any sweeping changes made by Glenn this week, after all, it is only two games.

The Jets played well enough in Week 1, and got obliterated in Week 2; that's football, and also part and parcel of NFL football for a team at their stage of their development.

But how the team responds will be an interesting watch, because the fan base won't tolerate too many of these performances in 2025.

Nose to the grindstone is a good motto to have, and while the review will make for brutal viewing, it is a crucial part of the development process, and you can bet Glenn won't be taking shortcuts either.

No stone unturned.

Let's see what Glenn finds in the aftermath of an embarrassing defeat.
