Jesse Ridgeway alleged his wife Ashley Ridgeway's family encouraged her to end their marriage after the couple terminated their pregnancy: “No backbone, just cowardice."
YouTuber Jesse Ridgway, Wife Ashley Ridgway Terminate Pregnancy After Baby’s Down Syndrome Diagnosis
Jesse Ridgway will always be in Ashley Ridgway’s corner.
After the YouTuber, known online as McJuggerNuggets, shared that he and his wife terminated their pregnancy due to the fetus testing positive for Trisomy 21, or the chromosomal condition that causes Down syndrome, he alleged Ashley’s family has been encouraging her to end their marriage.
“She has received text messages from her family accusing me of abuse and that I'm brainwashing her...issuing ultimatums that she needs to LEAVE ME IMMEDIATELY,” Jesse wrote on Facebook June 8. “Audacious s--t that will have your head-spinning because of the delusion and lack of consideration.”
“Downright disgusting gossip and s--t-talking amongst important people in her life as if she's not even blood,” he added. “No backbone, just cowardice as they accuse me of making the decision and controlling/manipulating her over all the years of being together.”
Meanwhile, Jesse says his own parents have been nothing but supportive following the procedure.
“My parents drop off an extremely thoughtful gift basket and show unconditional love and support...meanwhile, her family has been nowhere to be found,” he explained. “Some even going as far as joining in on the bandwagon hate PUBLICLY, kicking her while she's down at her lowest point.”
“We've put up with a lot of s--t, but when it's your own family exercising their bitterness and turning their backs when it matters the most,” he added, “it really reveals everything about their character.”
Though Ashley has not yet addressed Jesse's allegations publicly, she did repost Jesse's message on X.

Jesse confirmed on X June 3 that he and his wife—who wed in October—made the “very difficult decision” to terminate their pregnancy two months after their fetus tested positive for Trisomy 21, noting that Down syndrome was an “objectively s--tty” diagnosis.
Since sharing his decision publicly, the 33-year-old said that the couple’s peers have also slammed the choice.
“Hell, I've even seen the worst of ‘friends’ publicly joining in on the crusade,” he continued on Facebook, “despite full-well knowing that behind closed doors, they would've made the same decision.”
“I don't relish in sharing these things because it only furthers a divide,” he added, “but when you're MIA, complicit and offensive during the hardest times of our life then you will never deserve to be there when it's good.”
