Jerry Jones is often full of surprises, so even though the season is about to start, don't count out the idea of a major Dallas Cowboys trade going down. The season is young, so there's plenty of time ahead for Jones to make a bold move.
Jones is saying that he hasn't ruled out a big trade, either. Speaking on 105.3 The Fan during a radio appearance on Friday, Jones sounded open and willing to make a trade, but it has to be for the right player.

According to Joseph Hoyt of the Dallas News, Jones reiterated that he's open to a substantive trade this season.
But, that's "totally predicated on the availability and the circumstances if we had the chance to improve it."
Hoyt adds, "So again: a trade has to be the right trade for them to make a splash."
There's been lots of talk about the Cowboys possibly trading to get Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders, since they tried to get him during the offseason. The team did recently restructure several contracts to open up more salary cap space. But, even if it's not Crosby, it appears Jones is open to a solid trade for the team.
At the moment, there aren't many players with flashy names on the trade block. But, as the season gets into play, you know that will change, as teams get antsy and decide to gamble a bit if things aren't going their way.
