Jennifer Lopez will dance again.
The "Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer suffered an injury while rehearsing for the upcoming 2025 American Music Awards, which Jennifer is slated to host and perform on May 26.
The 55-year-old revealed the incident on her Instagram Stories May 13, where she posted a selfie holding an ice pack over her right eye with the caption, "So this happened..."
On a subsequent slide, she clarified that the injury had occurred "during @amas rehearsals" with another selfie, this time with her swollen nose, a cut on the bridge of her nose and an apparent black eye visible in her photo.
The Maid in Manhattan actress revealed in a third post that the first two selfies had been taken the week prior, sharing a picture of herself posing with the doctor who helped to treat her injuries.
"Thank you for stitching me up Dr. Diamond," she wrote. "A week later and a whole lotta ice, I'm good as new."

In the accompanying sunlit photo, while there appears to be some lingering bruising around her eye, J.Lo's cut seems to have mostly healed.
The Monster-in-Law actress' injury reveal comes just under two weeks before she's set to take the stage at the 51st annual award show at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which will mark her second time hosting the world's largest fan-voted award show. (She first hosted in 2015).

It's also not the first time that Jennifer has suffered an AMAs-related injury. The singer fell while performing her song "Louboutins" during the 2009 ceremony, which left her "messed up" from the fall with a "bruised bone."
"One of the dancer's backs was slippery from sweat and lights and everything," J.Lo explained on The Ellen Show after the mishap. "We never bargained for that, because they always had T-shirts on in rehearsal. So they were barebacked, didn't have shirts on for the performance and when I stepped on their backs my feet got wet. So when I landed it just slipped from under me."
While it's unclear what Jennifer—who shares 17-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex Marc Anthony—has up her sleeve for her high-profile American Music Awards gig, it's possible that she's running some ideas by her kids ahead of the award show.
“I always have such joy from hearing their thoughts and what they think about things,” she told E! News in January. “If you ask them, they will give you their honest opinion about everything, you know what I mean? They're ready to be brutally honest with you at times.”

"They always have an interesting perspective," Jennifer added, "because they're from a different generation."
