She’s all tangled up.
Jennifer Lopez paid tribute to her role in “Kiss Of The Spider Woman,” rocking a sultry see-through web gown to composer John Kander‘s 98th birthday event on Monday night.
The actress and singer, 55, stunned in a black skin-baring knit dress and billowy oversized shawl from Zuhair Murad’s fall 2023 collection.
Styled by Rob Zangardi, Lopez accessorized with plenty of diamonds from Yeprem, including a chunky choker, chain bracelet and major statement earrings.
And in true Lopez fashion, this wasn’t her only look of the evening.
When she first arrived at the New York City charity concert, where she was one of the performers, the “On the Floor” hitmaker had a wardrobe malfunction when her peach-colored plunging The New Arrivals by Ilkyaz Ozel dress ($835) slid over to far to the side.
Over the risqué number, she upped the glam with the brand’s coordinating feather jacket ($3,615).
And for the afterparty at Bryant Park Grill, all eyes were on Lopez, who made a grand entrance in a white high-neck dress with a hip-high leg slit from Stephane Rolland’s fall 2023 collection.
Lopez posted an Instagram Reel sharing behind-the-scenes moments from the whirlwind day.

“36 hours in NY,” she captioned the video. “Happy birthday to the legend that is John Kander. Honored to follow in the footsteps of the great Chita Rivera and be your Spider Woman ✨💋🕷️”
“36 hours. Endless looks. Not one missed. Just flawless glam—and a kiss of something iconic,” one fan commented. A second said, “mother is mothering🔥”
Kander is the composer for the forthcoming film, which sees Lopez as Ingrid Luna, an actress in a fictional film whose story’s retold in an Argentinian jail based on the stage musical of the same name.
The singer has been channeling the insect on the red carpet since January, when she stepped out for the movie’s 2025 Sundance Film Festival premiere clad in a luxe rhinestone-adorned web dress ($2,485) from Albanian designer Valdrin Sahiti and later revealed a matching catsuit.
We expect more mesh coming soon.
