Vice President JD Vance’s mother called Abdul El-Sayed an “idiot” Wednesday and warned that she’d “probably punch” the Democratic Michigan Senate candidate if she ran into him after his racially-charged criticism of the Second Family.
“I think that man’s an idiot,” Beverly Vance Aikins told OutKick’s Tomi Lahren during an interview on her “Fearless” podcast.
Vance Aikins particularly took issue with El-Sayed referring to her grandchildren as “brown kids” and suggesting there is something “awkward” about her son marrying and having children with second lady Usha Vance.
“Those are my babies. I love those babies and would do anything for any of them,” she said. “And I love Usha as if she were my own daughter. She’s one of the best, most genuine people I’ve ever met. And she loves my son and she’s a good mother.
“And I don’t pay attention to people like that.”
The vice president’s mom initially told Lahren that she “laughs-off” El-Sayed’s attacks on her son and the second lady, but when pressed, she admitted the Senate candidate’s crude remarks hit a nerve.
“I mean, it makes me mad, honestly, because he doesn’t know JD and he doesn’t know, you know, what type of person he is, and I do, but in the long run, I’m not going to do anything about it,” Vance Aikins said.
“I mean, you know, I’d probably punch the guy if I ever seen him and then that would get me in trouble – So, I’ll just go with the flow,” she added.
El-Sayed, who is battling Republican Mike Rogers in the hotly-contested Michigan Senate race, first took aim at Usha and her children during an April appearance on “The Allen Analysis Show” podcast.
“What do you think is going through Usha’s head when [the vice president] talks? She’s like, ‘Damn, I have to sleep with him,’” El-Sayed said.
“I guess she’s pregnant so something is happening,” the former Detroit public health official continued. “Can you imagine, he’s got brown kids, at some point he’s going to have a really awkward conversation with his kids, like, you made your career hating people who are different.”
El-Sayed later declared that “JD Vance has brown kids who he thinks are less American than everyone else.”
The far-left Democrat then insinuated that the vice president’s late grandfather – Beverly’s father – might have disapproved of his marriage to Usha, who is Indian-American.
“So do we think JD is taking Usha with him back in time to meet Papaw, or no…” El-Sayed posted on X, after Vance invoked his grandfather at an Ohio event and accused El-Sayed of suggesting it is racist to criticize Sharia law.
