JD McDonagh reveals heartbreaking injury; Unfortunate news for Judgment Day as he undergoes surgery

JD McDonagh has been pushing to win back the WWE Tag Team Championships with Finn Balor over the past few months, but that now appears to have come to an end.

JD McDonagh recently took to Instagram, where he revealed that he is undergoing surgery and will be out of action for a while. McDonagh noted that:

"Been working thru some stuff for the last few months, but now is the time to pump the breaks and get put back together. Won't be long, BRB."

It seems that the former champion has been working with some injuries recently, and now is the perfect time for him to take some time off as WWE heads into its festive season.

Lots of the upcoming events for WWE are pre-recorded, which means that McDonagh won't be missing a lot of time and could be back in time for The Royal Rumble if he is cleared.

It seems that his main issue is his wrist, which has been wrapped up in the photo that he has shared.

When will JD McDonagh return to WWE?

McDonagh has been a member of The Judgment Day for several years and will be a huge miss for the group in the coming weeks, that being said he shouldn't be gone for very long.

Liv Morgan recently made her return to WWE and will be able to push the group forward in his absence, but this could leave Finn Balor in a tough situation, since he appears to be against her at the moment.

Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor have been at odds for most of the year as well, and it will be interesting to see if anything finally happens between them when Balor doesn't have his fellow Irishman for backup.
