Jaxson Dart hasn’t been The Prince of the City lately, and his growing pains Sunday against the diabolical Brian Flores were painful for Giants fans desperately seeking the kind of hope that only a Quarterback of the Future can bring.

Dart is the dual-threat quarterback who has stopped being the running quarterback for concussion-protocol reasons, and he was a no-threat quarterback in this latest ignominy, Vikings 16, Giants 13.

He remains The Chosen One, but on this day, he was The Frozen One — frozen by interim HC Mike Kafka’s timid play calling, by the Vikings DC, by dropped passes … and by him seeing some of the same ghosts that Sam Darnold saw one prime-time night against Bill Belichick.

He took the blame for the loss to the Commanders, and this time, he finished a gruesome 7-for-13 for 33 yards and one INT on a pass through Theo Johnson’s hands and a pick that Andrew Van Ginkel dropped for a 27.4 QB rating. Net passing yards: 13.
