The New York Giants were dealt a devastating blow to their offense after rookie running back Cam Skattebo suffered a significant injury in the Week 8 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The injury occurred in the second quarter and the video is gruesome to watch, so don't go looking for it unless you have a strong stomach.

It is very clear that Skattebo has suffered a season-ending ankle injury, which absolutely stinks for the upstart rookie, who was having a fantastic first season.

Dart and Skattebo were in the early stages of turning things around in New York, with the rookies providing exactly the kind of spark the Giants needed to turn things around and move this team into a positive direction moving forward.

But they are also friends and their bond extends just beyond being rookies who play together on the same team.

The fact that we won't get to see Skattebo again this season just doesn't seem fair, but that is the reality of the NFL.

Tomorrow is never promised today when it comes to injuries, and Skattebo's injury is another sad example of that.
