Jaxson Dart was accompanied by a special someone during a recent trip home to Utah.
On Saturday, the star Giants quarterback took in the Utah Mammoth’s 6-3 home victory over the Seattle Kraken with girlfriend Marissa Ayers, with the couple locked in on the action at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
Dressed in Mammoth attire, Ayers — a model ring girl who worked the Jake Paul-Anthony Joshua tilt in Miami last month — put her hand on Dart’s shoulder as the rookie signal-caller watched the game in awe.
Dart, 22, has been spending quality time with Ayers after wrapping his first NFL season earlier this month.
The Kaysville, Utah, native tossed 15 touchdowns against five interceptions through 14 games while adding nine touchdowns on the ground.
Dart was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise woeful season for the Giants, who dismissed coach Brian Daboll in November before finishing the year at 4-13.
A new era for the storied franchise began Saturday when John Harbaugh’s five-year pact to coach the team became official after lengthy negotiations.
The Super Bowl winner, 63, emerged as the hottest coaching candidate this cycle following his shocking Ravens firing Jan. 6. He coached Baltimore for 18 seasons, which included a championship title to conclude the 2012 season.
Harbaugh said it’s a “tremendous honor” to coach the Giants, and is already “impressed” with its rising star at quarterback.
“Watched him on tape, he had a heckuva rookie season and he’s got the right mindset,” Harbaugh said of Dart to The Athletic’s Ian O’Connor. “That is one tough dude.”
Dart made a statement this season with his bruising play style, not to mention the calls for concern over the hits he took.
As the Harbaugh era begins, Dart’s teammates, notably breakout rookie running back Cam Skattebo, are embracing new beginnings.
“New f–king era,” Skattebo wrote Saturday on social media.
