‘The Valley’ Star Kristen Doute Admits Why Jax Taylor Is “Difficult” to Support (Exclusive)
Jax Taylor has officially turned a new leaf.
The embattled The Valley star returned to Watch What Happens Live June 17 where he delivered a heartfelt apology, not only to his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright, but also to Bravo fans who have kept up with his rollercoaster journey over the past decade.
After host Andy Cohen noted at the start of the broadcast, "We got a lot of tweets from people that are mad that you are here and you shouldn't be given this platform tonight," the newly sober Vanderpump Rules alum addressed his anger issues, which have played out on the reality show's currently airing second season.
“First of all, I want to apologize to everybody who’s watching this right now,” Jax said. “It’s just, the stuff that was shown is pretty triggering to a lot of people and I’m watching it back, I watch the episodes now, which is a first. You watch it back and it’s just, like, I’m utterly embarrassed of my actions.”
“Nobody should ever have to deal with the way I acted," the 45-year-old—who shares 4-year-old son Cruz with Brittany—continued. "Nobody should ever have to deal with, you know, verbal abuse from anybody. I’m really sorry that people had to see all that.”
As for his bitter breakup from Brittany—who ended their 10-year relationship last August by filing for divorce while Jax was in a rehabilitation center for substance abuse and mental health issues—Jax regrets his past treatment of the Kentucky native.

“Very sorry to Brittany," he admitted. "It was a very, very, very tough year for both of us.”
However, Jax is now focusing on the future and even marked his 201st day of sobriety on WWHL. He even proved just how committed he is to cleaning up his act by detailing his regular drug testing.
“I have my therapist do it when I go into therapy, it was kind of the deal,” Jax explained to Andy. “I don’t have to do that legally, but I said, 'You know what, I want to be held accountable.' Brittany has drug tests at the house, you can drug test me anytime you want.”
But his past cocaine addiction is just a small part of his ongoing rehabilitation.
“To be honest with you, right now, that isn’t my issue,” Jax added. “I’ve got a lot of other issues that I’ve got to deal with. My ego, my anger, my control, my manipulation, all these things.”
See the drama continue when The Valley airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
