Jason Kelce Offers Up NSFW Explanation for Why Men Have Beards

Jason Kelce Reacts to Kylie Kelce Putting Him on a Sex "Dry Spell"

Jason Kelce might need a review on punnett squares.

In a recent conversation with brother Travis Kelce—during which the two were fielding relationship questions from listeners of their podcast—Jason had a surprisingly scientific response to one woman asking how to tell her husband she prefers him with a beard as opposed to cleanshaven.

“That’s a tough one,” he mused during the Nov. 14 episode of their New Heights podcast. “Because what you’re really saying is you don’t like the way your husband’s face looks. How do you tell somebody you like their face better when half of it can’t be seen?”

And yet, the former Philadelphia Eagles player had a whole hypothesis at the ready.

“I would approach it like this: most men have beards, evolutionarily speaking, the reason that would be is most men with beards would have fornicated with women in the past and women have found that attractive in the past,” Jason added. “Otherwise, the men without beards would have been the ones fornicating and they would have been the ones spreading their genetics.”

In response to what could only have been a look of amusement on his brother’s face, the ESPN analyst continued, “I think this is how evolution works Travis. Evolutionarily speaking, women are just attracted to beards. I think it’s a scientific fact. And if it’s not a scientific fact, it’s evolutionarily proven that men with beards have produced at a higher level. Hence why there’s more men with beards across the globe.”

But while the 37-year-old was convinced of his logic, Travis couldn’t help but laugh, “This is ridiculous.”

Jason, however, was not to be deterred, doubling down on his advice to the caller.

“There’s just something very innate inside you,” he continued, “that when you see your husband with a beard, you don’t know why, but it’s something that you really like in him. And when he shaves his face, he looks like a younger version of himself and you just like when he looks older and distinguished.”

Travis, meanwhile, offered up what he categorized as some “tough love” advice.

“If you got a f--king butt ugly husband,” the Kansas City Chiefs player began, to the sound of laughter from his brother, “and he looks better with a beard you tell him that. Don’t just let him walk around here with that butt ugly face. Don’t let him f--king do that to you, to your family.”

The new advice comes after Jason earned himself a foul at home with his NSFW advice about reigniting things in the bedroom. After Jason—who shares daughters Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 12 months, with wife Kylie Kelce—recommended things as setting the mood early because “women, they’re weird, they don’t just always want to have sex,” Kylie had some advice of her own.

“If I had to guess based on my husband’s dumbass response to this question,” she said in a Nov. 1 TikTok stitching the New Heights podcast moment. “I would say that he’s probably going to experience a spell of his wife saying she’s not interested.”

She added in her caption, “By now @New Heights 92%ers should know to take Jason’s advice with a grain of salt.”
