Jason Kelce will take on a new title. The former NFL player turned media personality will be going into the Cincinnati Bearcats Hall of Fame, per an announcement on Thursday.
The former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman, Travis Kelce's brother, Kylie's husband and Taylor Swift's brother-in-law will be the newest member and part of the Bearcats' 50th anniversary class. Kelce had an "incredible career from 2006 to 2010, transforming from a walk-on linebacker to a three-year starter on the offensive line,” a statement from the university said.
Before spending over a decade in the league, Kelce was on famed Cincinnati teams that competed in the national spotlight in the mid-2000s under Brian Kelly and Butch Jones. The Bearcats won back-to-back conference championships, along with appearances in the 2008 Orange Bowl and 2009 Sugar Bowl.
Kelce's podcast, The New Heights, shared photos from Kelce's college days on X and wrote, “Someone let this kid know he’s a @GoBEARCATS Hall of Famer."
A sixth-round draft pick of the Eagles in the 2011 NFL Draft, Kelce played 13 years in the City of Brotherly Love before retiring. He's arguably more popular after his time in the league compared to when he was in the trenches. The seven-time Pro Bowler played in 193 career games and was named a First Team All-Pro six times. Kelce is also considered one of the greatest centers in NFL history.
Other inductees into the Cincinnati Athletics Hall of Fame include Kelce’s Eagles teammate Connor Barwin, men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins, women’s soccer goalkeeper Christy Hoffman and track and field All-Americans Loretta Blaut and Wayne Mason.
The 2026 Hall of Fame Class will be inducted in a ceremony on Friday, Oct. 23 at the Fifth Third Arena before Cincinnati’s game against Texas Tech.
