During the early stages of the 2026 Playoffs, it looked like the Oklahoma City Thunder were cruising to another NBA championship. Of course, they fell to the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals, but they were having fun in the first two rounds.
Jalen Williams was set for a big postseason, but he suffered a left hamstring strain early in the first round. He missed the entire second-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers, but he was still having some fun without playing.
Jalen Williams loves what he saw on social media during the Thunder's sweep vs the Lakers
When any team plays against the Lakers, they are subject to a lot of attention both on mainstream and social media. It gets even bigger because the Lakers still had LeBron James, so the spotlight was on them.
The Lakers were already underdogs without Luka Doncic, but the Thunder made it look easy, as they dealt with them rather easily. They did so without one of their All-Star players, Williams, who was having fun on the sidelines.

Since he had a lot of time on his hands, it seems Williams was having fun scrolling through social media while he was still recovering. Considering they played against the Lakers, there were always going to be some fun posts about the series, and Williams was on that.
"I don’t want to say I was happy to be out. But that was a fun series to be out for. Because every time you had a good game, I would go straight to Twitter," Williams said about Ajay Mitchell dominating against the Lakers.
Moving forward, Williams will likely draw the Lakers fans' ire even more after saying this. It will be interesting because the Lakers have entered a post-LeBron era, but they will continue to have that passionate fan base with them that will do their best to unsettle Williams and the Thunder.
