Jalen Carter injury update: Eagles roster move is bad sign for Philly defensive tackle

8 hours ago 3

The Philadelphia Eagles have made some roster moves ahead of their Week 6 game against the New York Giants on Thursday night and one of them might be bad news for defensive tackle Jalen Carter.

Carter popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with a heel issue and is listed as questionable to play, and as we know late additions to the injury report are often bad news for a player's hopes of suiting up.

Now, the Eagles have made a roster move on Thursday before kickoff that leaves Carter's status for Week 6 in doubt.

The Eagles announced they have elevated defensive tackle Gabe Hall, which could be in anticipation of Carter not suiting up versus New York. At the very least, it hints at serious concern over the Eagles defender's status.

Along with Hall being elevated, the Eagles activated linebacker Nakobe Dean off the PUP list and he is ready to roll for his 2025 debut on Thursday night.

The Eagles will release their inactives an hour and a half before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, so we'll know whether or not Carter is active then.
