Son of a gun. They were really going to do this again, weren’t they? And this time, the degree of difficulty was even higher. This time, they were down 13 points with less than seven minutes to go. This time, it looked like the Pistons might really run the Knicks right out of their own gym.

And yet, here they were, six minutes later. Jalen Brunson found Josh Hart. Hart dunked. It was 94-94, after it had been 88-75. The Garden was alive. The Pistons looked terrified, same as they’d looked Saturday when the Knicks put together the 21-0 run that turned the game upside down.
