Jake Paul went ballistic on Gervonta Davis after their boxing match, scheduled for Nov. 14, was officially scrapped.
Paul and Davis were booked to throw down in an exhibition boxing match later this month at the Kaseya Center in Florida. Last week, Davis' former partner hit him with a new civil lawsuit for alleged battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
As a result, Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix announced that they wouldn't be going ahead with the Paul-Davis boxing match. Paul is now expected to return to action next month against a new opponent.
In an X post, Paul went off on Davis for his "unprofessionalism" and apologized to his team for their seemingly wasted hard work. He wrote:

"Gervonta Davis is an actual walking human piece of garbage. Working with him is an absolute nightmare. The unprofessionalism, the bizarre requests, the showing up hours late to shoots. To the numerous arrests, and related accusations, and lawsuits. If you support this man, you support the most vile sin a man can commit."He continued:
"I didn’t want to give this woman abuser a platform to grow his fans and to grow his bank account. My company champions women. I’m so sorry to everyone involved. Mostly to the undercard fighters, to my team at MVP and to my team who worked so hard prepping for this fight. Sacrificing time with loved ones and kids just for this fool to lose his unintelligent mind again. It’s scary that devilish men like this can rise to the top of culture and sports, including in positions of power... As for me it’s on to the next one as always. Anyone. Anytime. Any place. - Jake."Francis Ngannou dismisses stepping in to replace Gervonta Davis for Jake Paul fight
Francis Ngannou isn't interested in fighting Jake Paul after the former Disney star's fight against Gervonta Davis fell through. The former UFC heavyweight champion recently made it clear that he isn't keen on facing Paul in the squared circle.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Ngannou explained his stance and claimed that the money offered didn't pique his interest. He said:
“No. There’s no such thing happening. How can they go from Gervonta Davis to Francis Ngannou? I mean, Gervonta Davis is a fantastic boxer but, he’s a one-shot knockout artist but come on, the weight difference and everything, it makes no sense... Don’t disrespect me like that. They even come out after and say, ‘What if the numbers are good?’ He sends out some number, and I’m like, ‘It’s not about the number. If it was about the number, we could have started up.’ I’m just not interested, it makes no sense for me. It’s not what I’m looking at right now.”Why did you not like this content?
