The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 after a miraculous turn of events. However, things were not all sunshine and rainbows overseas, as the Jaguars saw a key offensive lineman go down with injury.
Anton Harrison, the Jaguars' left tackle, and 2023 first-round pick, suffered an injury Sunday, and was carted off the field. He's expected to miss some time. But, how long will he be out?
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Harrison is having knee surgery when he's back from London, and that surgery will determine how long he's out for. There's a chance it's just a multi-week issue, but multiple months, or the rest of the year is possible.
Jaguars get terrible news on Anton Harrison's injury
"Jaguars starting LT Anton Harrison, starter since 2023, is expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery when he returns from London, per me and @JFowlerESPN," Rapoport reports. "During the surgery, the doctor will determine how long Trevor Lawrence's blindside protector is out -- weeks or months."
One thing is clear: Harrison is going to miss multiple weeks. He'll likely be out for an extended duration of time, which isn't a huge surprise based on the nature of his injury.
But, the bad news for the Jaguars and Trevor Lawrence is that the starting left tackle might miss a lot more than just a couple of weeks.

Depending on what the surgery finds, Harrison could miss the rest of the year. There's another scenario where he misses well over a month, but if it's not just a short-term absence, the Jaguars are going to be in a pickle.
Walker Little filled in at left tackle, but after this injury, it's clear the Jaguars are going to need to explore the free agent and trade markets for offensive line help.
That will especially be the case if it's confirmed that Harrison is going to miss the rest of the regular season. It's massively unfortunate for Harrison, and is a potentially a huge blow to a contending Jaguars team trying to win it all this season.
