Jadon Sancho gives green light to Serie A switch as Manchester United exit nears

Jadon Sancho’s time at Manchester United could be coming to a quiet end as the club works behind the scenes to move on from one of their most expensive signings.

The 25-year-old winger has taken a major step toward reviving his career by reportedly agreeing to personal terms with Juventus, a move that now depends on how quickly the two clubs can settle the financial terms.

Sancho, once a star in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund was expected to thrive when he arrived in England for £73m [$97m] in 2021.

Four years later the story has completely changed for the Camberwell (Greater London) native who is no longer in favor at Old Trafford under new manager Ruben Amorim, who has already started rebuilding the squad after Manchester United’s disappointing 16th place finish in the Premier League last season.

Chelsea gave Sancho a temporary lifeline last season, offering him regular minutes through a loan deal.

While he made 42 appearances and finished with five goals and eight assists, his influence dipped as the season progressed and eventually, he was pushed to the sidelines while players like Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke took over the wings.

The Blues triggered a £5m [$6m] exit clause to cancel the buy option and send Sancho back to Old Trafford.

Juventus hope Al Ahli sale helps finalize move from Manchester United

Juventus are working quietly but confidently behind the scenes to bring Sancho to Turin as part of their rebuild.

The club is looking to sale Nico Gonzalez to Al Ahli for a reported £26m [$30m], according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

That transfer could free up the funds required to finalize the deal with Manchester United.

Sancho has made it clear he is ready for a new chapter and is willing to lower his wages to make this move happen.

The Red Devils have significantly reduced their asking price, now open to selling Sancho for around €17–18m [$20-21m], according to TEAMtalk.

The discount is tied to the final issue which is Sancho’s severance package expected to be between €5m [$6m] and €6m [$7m] depending on the final agreement.

Juventus are prepared to cover part or even all of that amount, and talks with United are progressing every day.

Sancho’s agent has already visited Turin to help speed things up. The club sees Sancho as a high-upside investment who can grow under less pressure, especially with Champions League football back on the calendar
