The Cincinnati Bengals' chances this year are built around a few notable stars, but one of those stars had an injury scare during Tuesday's practice.
Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had to leave practice early with a leg injury that he suffered during a pass-play rep. Chase's left knee buckled on the play, leading to some cause for concern among Bengals fans.
If Chase is forced to miss any amount of time, the Bengals will be in for a tough challenge to replace him in the offence. Therefore, Cincinnati is likely to be careful with him as they treat his new injury.
Ja’Marr Chase injury updates
Chase appeared to suffer a left knee injury in practice when he landed awkwardly on his leg after going up to catch a ball. Chase was forced to spend time on the sidelines but didn't need to go to the locker room, a potentially good sign that the injury isn't as bad as it first appeared.
While Chase remained on the field, he didn't return to practice as the Bengals likely proceeded with utmost caution.
